In mid-2018, Kane Constructions was awarded the $16M Lump Sum contract for the Australian headquarters of German manufacturing company VEGA, known for their developing innovative measurement technology for production processing.
The headquarters is located on a prominent 5,400m2 site with three street frontages, three new buildings house VEGA’s regional head office as well as conference, exhibition, training and warehouse facilities.
The buildings incorporate passive design principles through responsive building envelope treatments. Architecture and landscape were seamlessly integrated with a central courtyard created between the main building and smaller training facility to preserve a row of large Eucalyptus trees that creates a welcoming canopy.
The project reached Practical Completion in November 2019.
