Kane Constructions has been appointed by Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese to lead the significant multi-million dollar building project that will deliver a new state-of-the-art school building in Westmead.
The centrepiece of the redevelopment is a modern, six-storey building that will house general learning areas for students. Thoughtfully designed to foster an inspiring and engaging educational environment, the facility will feature advanced classrooms, collaborative breakout spaces, a well-equipped canteen, storage facilities, and comprehensive amenities. Students will also benefit from an expansive rooftop play area and covered outdoor spaces that encourage both learning and recreation.
This project will provide exciting new facilities for students from the two Catholic primary schools currently in Westmead Mother Teresa Primary School and Sacred Heart Primary School as well as providing some additional learning space for students from Catherine McAuley Westmead. The result will be a cohesive educational hub, creating new learning opportunities for the each school community.
Beyond the new building construction, the project scope includes the demolition of outdated structures and extensive landscaping, and significant increases in amenities. These improvements are designed with accessibility and safety as top priorities, underscoring Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese’s commitment to an inclusive educational environment.
The design emphasises flexibility, allowing the space to adapt to the evolving educational needs of future generations. With flexible learning spaces, the campus will be well-equipped to support a variety of programs, activities, and events for years to come.
