The $9 million Lump Sum redevelopment for Techne Group provides a 30 bed private inpatient mental health facility within a new two level building which also incorporates a state of the art day surgery.
The scope also included the refurbishment works to the existing hospital including upgrading of emergency treatment bays and consultation rooms, as well as the construction of new patient rooms and ensuites.
A dedicated drug and alcohol detox and rehab service and a youth mental health service was also added.
The upgrade includes 22 new inpatient beds, a day program, an additional day surgery and an expanded recovery area.
The expansion takes the total number of mental health beds to 50 and dedicated day theatres for surgical procedures to two, with a prime focus on the vital areas of mental health and addiction treatment.
Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital is located at 242A Hoppers Lane, Werribee.
The project reached practical completion in quarter four of 2015.
